Pedro Longart
Mr. Longart has extensive experience in different types of businesses. Being an active entrepreneur and manager he has operated in numerous business spheres such as retail, hospitality, manufacturing, wholesale and import/export. With a former formal education background in Industrial Engineering and an early career as an ESOL teacher he came to the UK in year 2000 and changed his career path, completed a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management (Thames Valley University) and an MBA from Kingston University.
In the last few years, Mr. Longart has spent his time working as an academic and business consultant. This broad hands-on experience has been passed on to the different subjects he teaches. These subjects are taught as part of various academic programmes in colleges specialised in delivering accredited courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At present, in addition to having the responsibility of all the academic programmes of RLC he also teaches the modules: Business Ethics (BABS), Organisational Behaviour and Hospitality Management (MBA) of the University of Wales at Rayat London College.
He is also a keen researcher particularly in the fields related to Hospitality Management and Consumer Behaviour. His first research paper will appear in the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management Vol. 22, Issue 1, 2010. He is currently working on his second research paper. Both papers relate to important topics for the hospitality industry.
